Roy C. Hartman, an Avon Lake High School graduate and Senior Naturalist for Lorain County Metropolitan Park District, passed away last April 2024. He spent 36 years - more than half his life - with LCMPD. Roy was the driving force in developing the Raptor Center. During his memorial service in May of 2024, at Carlisle Visitors Center, it was suggested that in his honor, this package could be offered to LCMPD at a reduced price. No response to that offer has yet been received.
